15 Uplifting Quotes To Get You Through A Rough Time

We go through many ups and downs in life and tend to rarely notice how much the “bad days” can take a toll on our well-being. Sometimes we get into a mood where we feel discouraged or unmotivated because of a position we might be in or an event that is currently going on in our lives. Let’s face it, we all have shit to do and want to enjoy our lives at the same time, but we also have bad days and don’t feel like ourselves at times. Whether it be an incident at work or something in your personal life, having a bad day IS OKAY. Not everyday will be the best, but how you handle the situation will determine your outcome.

It’s important to have a positive attitude and mindset when things aren’t going well. Dwelling on a situation will not help neither. I myself have a hard time with being positive and looking at the bright side of things. If I’m in a bad mood, I’m in a bad mood for that day. I’ll try again tomorrow, but I’ve come to realize I’ve wasted so much of my time being in a “mood” that I need to completely switch my attitude around. We aren’t here forever and tomorrow may never come, so why wait until a whole new day to change my mood or attitude about a situation?

Delicate Thoughts – M. Ballard

I get it. Work can be draining. Relationships and friendships may end. Arguments with a loved one can happen, but it’s all part of life. Don’t let these things affect your entire day or even longer! There is always a light at the end of the tunnel, so the dark days will not last forever! Just remain as positive as possible.

In the meantime, here are 15 uplifting quotes that can get you through a rough time or a bad day: (all quotes are by unknown)

  1. “Be the person you’d be proud of one year from now.”
  2. “Sometimes we outgrow people who aren’t growing.”
  3. “You are only going to be as good as the people you surround yourself with. So be brave enough to let go of those who keep weighing you down.”
  4. “I used to walk into a room full of people and wonder if they liked me? Now I look around and wonder if I like them.”
  5. “Some walks you have to take alone.”
  6. “If you don’t like where you are, move! You are not a tree.”
  7. “If the plan doesn’t work, change the plan, but NEVER the goal.”
  8. “Never apologize for burning too brightly or collapsing into yourself every night. That is how galaxies are made.”
  9. “The best part about life? Every morning you have a new opportunity to become a better version of yourself.”
  10. “The comeback is always stronger than the setback.”
  11. “Not all storms come to disrupt your life. Some come to clear your path.”
  12. “You don’t have to see the whole staircase. Just take the first step.”
  13. “To heal a wound, you need to stop touching it.”
  14. “If they don’t like you for being yourself, be yourself even more.”
  15. “Doubt kills more dreams than failure ever will.”

Hope these find you well!
